Conventional Braces utilize brackets that are bonded to your teeth and hold arch-wires that apply selective force and pressure to gradually shift your teeth to the desired position.

 

Orthodontic technology has greatly advanced over the past decade, making the brackets not only smaller and more comfortable, but they can also be made out of several different metals, ceramic, or even dental grade plastic.
