Initial Exam

  • 45 minutes

Service Description

During your first visit, we may take a couple of X-Rays and Pictures of your smile and the inside of your mouth. Dr. Miller will examine your teeth, bite, and jaw. He may ask if you have any problems chewing or swallowing, or if your jaw clicks or pops when you open your mouth. One of our assistants may take impressions or a 3D scan of your mouth to further assess your case if necessary. This first visit typically lasts 45 minutes to an hour, and at the end, Dr. Miller will discuss with you and your parent/guardian his recommendations for going forward with treatment if there are issues present. While we can often answer general questions about treatment during the initial visit, we will address specific concerns after carefully reviewing your records.
